Spirit guides us in so many ways; seen and unseen. I can look back on my life now and see Spirit strongly at work. The problem was, I wasn't listening.
In the fall of 2001, I crashed on the operating table. I was having a simple same day surgical procedure and started hemorrhaging. I can vividly recall the experience; listening to the nurses and doctors talk about what was happening to me and how sad it was, because I was so young. I was viewing this from above my body and I can still feel the light that surrounded me. Next thing I knew, I was back in my body, going to the ICU.
A few months later, while working at a gift shop; I blurted out to a customer, "What clinic do you work at and is there a Rheumatologist there?" I remember thinking to myself - 'Where did that come from! They certainly weren't my thoughts!' This woman confirmed that, 'yes' there was a Rheumatologist that came once a month and she called me when she got back to the office.
I then met a wonderful Doctor that saved my life! He went over my history and was very confident he knew what was wrong and what he could do. It turned out I have Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome, that it was indeed the cause of the hemorraghing and a heart murmer I had developed. He also happened to be the country's leading expert in this disease, having just finished years of research about it and developing a test for it.
This is just one example of how Spirit is at work in our lives! Since that time, I have opened myself to 'listening' to Spirit, being guided by Spirit and trusting that space in my heart that tells me Spirit is at work in my life.
There is a lot more to my journey that I won't go into here. However, it is my wonder at the magic of it all that makes me want to help others connect to Spirit, Guides and their own Higher Self (Soul). I believe that everyone has within them the same gifts I have found and are able to do this work as well. I believe that one of my purposes is to help others open to their own intuitive abilities and to trust Spirit and themselves on their journey.
